The United Transitional Cabinet of Belarus has issued a statement to the official authorities of Belarus, noting a significant increase in threats to the security and independence of Belarus due to the Lukashenka regime's further involvement in the war against Ukraine.
"Today, it is vital for Belarusians to find ways to achieve civil consensus and effectively protect national interests. Both the preservation of the Belarusian state and its sustainable development will depend on this," the UTC notes. "The United Transitional Cabinet of Belarus calls on the country's functional authorities to stop supporting Russian aggression and to begin round-table negotiations with representatives of the united democratic forces and civil society in order to prevent the involvement of Belarus in an armed conflict, and to end the internal political and security crisis."
Earlier, the head of the United Transitional Cabinet of Belarus, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya, called on Belarusians to take Russia's plans regarding the involvement of our country in the war seriously and to prevent it. According to the Belarusian leader, the democratic forces are closely monitoring all signals coming from the Ukrainian side regarding the involvement of Belarus in the war and security in the region.
On June 19, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyycalled on Alyaksandr Lukashenka to remove the drone relays located in Belarus near the border with Ukraine that direct Russian drones during attacks on Ukraine. He emphasized that Lukashenka has one week to do this.
